While the Midwest is not known for its major recording artists or opportunities, Topeka, Kansas record label Klose Custody, is adding its name to the short roster of Midwestern record companies gaining national recognition for their music. Among the short list of labels in the middle region making headlines is Strange Music, home of Kansas City, MO artist Tech N9ne. Now, Klose Custody artist K.O. Streetz is fast becoming one of the prominent names on the “next-to-blow” list from the Midwest.
Who IS K.O. Streetz?
Rapper K.O. Streetz, originally hails from Topeka, KS but has ventured to both the west and east coasts to record or perform with national acts like Dorrough and Lupe Fiasco to name just a few. This Klose Custody artist, a Topeka High School Alum, has also gained national media attention with his latest single “Remember me”, from his new album “Shoot for the Stars”, gaining quite a buzz on MTVU.com and Vevo partner GorilliaLeak.com. I really like this young artist…having met him in person, he is really humble yet hungry for success and puts in the footwork to make it happen. His record label Klose Custody from Topeka, Kansas GETS IT! They are staying focused, looking for controlled yet sustained growth, which is much more different than many indie labels going for the whole shooting match at once instead of taking each shot separately.
