ALBUM REVIEW: R.O.M.E. BY PHILLY'S ICH (INNER CITY HUSTLERS) @jimmydasaint1 @thehypemagazine | The Hype Magazine 24/7 News

ICH Gang under the leadership of Jimmy DaSaint, continues to expand on the legacy of the “Sound of Philly” which brought many many legendary artists who we won’t list for fear of annoying someone because we left out a particular name.  EVERYBODY in the world music and entertainment knows about Philly and its iconic musical greats as well as the contributions of that city to music history globally.  This group, ICH, is going to be another one of those rapidly associated with the musical legacy of Philadelphia…period!

ICH’s newest project dropping April 13th is entitled “R.O.M.E.” (Ride On My Enemies) and is a 15-track train ride of various stylings brought to life by this 8 member crew.  All songs were written and produced by ICH…yup they do it ALL!!!  We get to meet, via music, the personalities that make up this diverse group and they leave it all on the field for their fans and listeners…there is not even one “we gonna let that one slide” joint on the entire album.  While you may not love every song, you will have to respect the work ethic and drive for excellence exhibited on this offering from the group…everybody stepped to the plate and smashed!

Who is Jacob Sunday, and where are you from?
Jacob Sunday is someone who loves to make the best music possible for his fans. He loves giving his fans what they want to hear. I’m extremely chill and really laid back most of the time which is probably another reason why I keep a lot of women in my fan base. Jacob Sunday gives them good music and a positive attitude as a good double dosage of fun, but I can’t get mad at that! But I was born and raised in San Diego, California. I lived there until I was 15, and then moved out to the East Coast in Virginia.
Describe the music scene in your city?
The music scene is real vivid if I can put it in one word. Club and Rave scenes are amazing, and the DMV is real crazy at times with the shows me and my team put out. It’s very diverse here, being in the boarders of D.C, Maryland and Virginia, you get everything over here. I’d say very  modern and by far up to date with everything that’s going on with music entertainment.
What was one of your hardest struggles while making it as an artist?
One of the hardest times for me, was probably when I went out looking for a second job for about 4 and a half hours straight to help get more money to record songs. Hard work will always pay off.
Describe your style?
My Music is very universal, I get statements from people commenting on being either a pop, r&b, hip hop, or alternative entertainer.  But I also do dubstep songs as well, so there’s that too. Simply universal. Great for a wide variety of fans though.
Who and what are your influences?
First of course God is my number one Influence, and with out him I definitely could have  never done any of  this. My music influences are probably Marvin Gaye, Michael Jackson, Queen, Pink Floyd, and a lot more of the 70s and 80 genre. I’m a real old head when it comes to what I usually listen too. I haven’t even listened the radio in I don’t know how long.
You recently signed a deal with SMG/Universal, how does that feel for you?
Very blessed  is always the first thing I think of. It feels great knowing I’ll be in stores and get to go on some really big tours. I’m glad I joined The Smoke Box Music family, I’m very proud.
What is the first project you will put out under your new label?
The first project under SMG/Universal will be my new E.P. “No Lies“. It’ll be in stores nation wide soon. I’ll be getting the release date here soon, so I’m pretty excited. If you want to know more about, it I’ll have it on www.jacobsunday.com. I have a blog on my website that I post to  inform my fans of what’s all going on.
