SEATTLE (WTVR) — The Seattle Police Department has posted an official and joke-filled guide to let citizens know what is legal and what isn’t, under the state’s new legalization law.
The guide titled “Mariwhatnow? A Guide to Legal Marijuana Use In Seattle,” explains the legal complexities and consequences of “Initiative 502,” which will allows legal marijuana possession in Washington starting December 6.
The target audience driven guide, contains a list of frequently asked questions and even a “TL;DR” summary, which is a common internet abbreviation that means, “Too Long; Didn’t Read.”
Questions include:
Can I smoke pot outside my home? Like at a park, magic show, or the Bite of Seattle?
What happens if I get pulled over and I’m sober, but an officer or his K9 buddy smells the ounce of Super Skunk I’ve got in my trunk?
Seattle Police seized a bunch of my marijuana before I-502 passed. Can I have it back?
The guide goes on to explain the age requirement of 21 years old to possess one ounce of marijuana, or 16 ounces of a solid marijuana infused product.
The end of the post even features a clip from the “The Lord of The Rings” series in which characters, “Bilbo and Gandalf” discuss, “the finest weed in the Southfarthing.”
