#Review Grammy Award Winning Producer Jimi Kendrix Presents - 'Here Today Gone Tomorrow' @JiMiKenDrix | The Hype Magazine 24/7 News

Jimi Kendrix, Six-time Grammy Award Winning producer, ASCAP Award winner and the man behind multiple platinum hits for the likes of Jay-Z, Ja Rule, Styles P, Tupac…and on and on and on, drops his first project via his Street Radio Music Group imprint, August 1, 2013.  The project is entitled “Here Today Gone Tomorrow,” and includes his work with some of the top names in the industry.

“Here Today Gone Tomorrow” is the producer/writer/singer’s 4th overall project and the roster reads like a “whose who” of the industry with appearances from Trilogy; Skyzoo; Styles P; Jay Lyric; T Pain; Yung Joc; Ray J; Fat Joe; and Swizz Beats…get the picture?!

If you are a music lover and read liner notes, Jimi Kendrix is a name you are familiar with and his “Here Today Gone Tomorrow” project, which is a compilation of his recent works as a producer, songwriter and singer, will be a must-have for your collection.

Top songs from this project for me are:
  • “Clear Picture” Duke Gutta Ft. Superstar Chipz
  • Addicted to Sex with Ray J, and Lyriq Ft. T Pain and Yung Joc
  • All We Know Ft. Ray J, Ace Hood, Fat Joe, Swizz Beatz, and Bow Wow
  • Radio Ft. Mic Geronimo  Mr Cheeks  RoyaL Flush  Big Remo
Here Today Gone Tomorrow” showcases Jimi Kendrix‘s production versatility as he brings the listener some bangers and some cross over pieces as well.  More importantly, Kendrix delivers strong, not overly produced and unique music ranging from real Hip Hop flavor to intricate more involved R&B and popish stylings.  He also throws his voice in the ring from time to time and no doubt, when he brings a solo album as an artist, he will have a distinct sound.
Overall Score: 4/5 because nobody’s perfect, but it definitely gets the Official Hype title.  Look out for the project via various mixtape outlets [he didn’t tell us where yet] and also look out for some additional exclusive announcements from Jimi Kendrix in the near future as he comes out of the shadows and exclusion of the recording studio to drop a personal project with him as an artist!
