Shueh-li Ong

Shueh-li Ong appears at Roxy & Dukes NJ 5th Sept 7:30pm

(Press Release) Shueh-li Ong (pronounced Shelley) will appear at Roxy & Dukes as part of the NJ Proghouse Music Series to promote her debut solo album “A Working Title – special edition”.

Ong is best known internationally for her work as founder and leader of synthpop band, Xenovibes, and as a Moog endorsed thereminist, and in some circles as Singapore’s theremin diva.

Her long awaited solo album, after three written under the Xenovibes concept, bears a collection of songs and instrumentals described as modern synthpop/indie/prog.

Ong writes, records and produces her own music. The Daily Vault said, “It is abundantly clear that Ong has many talents, a gift for sound, and the potential for greatness.”

“Sophisticated pop that fuses Eastern and Western music influences,” Evolution of Media.

“The production value is out of this world. Shueh-li is definitely now on my radar.” Jerry Doby, Exec Editor, The HYPE Magazine.

She will be playing and singing with her musical instrument entourage of theremin, synth, tin whistle. Ong is looking forward to her first show in New Jersey, meeting fans of her music and mingling with the NJ prog community.
