These days a new rapper pops up every other day, it’s hard to separate the average from the not so average. Let’s just say Tony Moreaux is not so average, in fact he is dope and the latest addition to the LDC Family. “I love to hear new artists with talent and substance, it’s music to my ears. It lets me know that the next generation of Hip-Hop is in good hands” – says Fokis. Check out his video “Sign Here” and download the single too.
Born on February 20, 1991, Tony Moreaux is a Hip-Hop artist from a small city on the outskirts of Boston, Massachusetts called Lynn. A fair amount of culture runs through Tony’s blood, he is part French Canadian and part African American. Writing his first rap at the age of 8, it was clear that he had a passion for rap that would last with him for a long time. Growing up listening to Tupac, Notorious B.I.G., Nas and Jay Z, it’s no surprise that Tony comes off as a lyrical cat. What makes this artist different is how cleverly he mixes Generation X & Y together. It’s like hearing a song written by Drake, Roc Marciano & Nas on a DJ Premier Beat. Tony is also a producer who has worked with a variety of artists from his city. Aggressive bars, witty punchlines and always real is what makes Tony such a special artist. In a time where most young artists are talking about violence and hustling, Tony speaks about things that appeal to a wider audience but most of all things people can relate too. Tony is giving you his take on life from the “regular guy” perspective without being “regular” or typical. His creativity allows him to keep his product raw and fresh as ever. Just like anyone else, the man has a story and he gives you just that without any fabrication.
Tony Moreaux has performed at quite a few local venues in his area, including The Middle East Night Club in Boston, where an endless amount of industry artists go to perform. He has opened up for artists such as Mac Miller, Main Attrakionz & More. Tony has made appearances on a variety of Mix Tapes like the Skyzoo Hosted “Winter Warz” Mix Tape & Mal Moe and J-Love hosted “On The Verge Vol.1”. Tony’s self-produced song “Sign Here”, the first single off his upcoming EP “Had You At Hello” due in Late February / Early March 2014.
